Personal Diary of Zed

About Me
This is a little weird to write because this is my personal diary, but I guess if someone were to find it or stumble across it, they should probably know who I am.

Hi! I’m Zed. If there’s one thing you should know about me it is that my life-long dream is to grow up and be a DRAGON! It’s all I’ve ever wanted. You see, being a Kobold means you are pretty small and the world likes to pick on you. Even worse, I’m a pretty small Kobold, so everyone is picking on little Zed.

I like to label my diary entries, but they show up with the newest entry first. So if you want to avoid secrets and spoilers, you'll have to visit the end of the diary to get to the beginning. Tricky aren't I?!

Week 6 - Campsite

11/18/2021

We've reached the campsite of the meanies. We made a quick line to the side of the main entrance so that no one would see us. Well, almost no one saw us. There was one individual who saw Korasche dressed as a cultist and you have me. They were almost tracking us when we noticed them. It was a rabbit folk. EARS AND ALL! We introduce ourselves and I did my classic opener of, "Do you like dragons?" and would you believe HE SAID NO! I was shocked. I thought everyone loves dragons. Maybe not as much as I do, but to hear a very definitive, "No." was quite shocking. We continued to exchange pleasantries and learned that the rabbit's name is Ricochet Kottontail, but everyone calls him "Pip." We all agree that the meanies are bad and we need to keep on with our goals.

Korasche seemed to take charge and had a plan for us. After climbing up a cliff, he noticed that there were two guard towers. One that was monitoring a bunch of traffic into the camp, and one that was much more quiet. Korasche decided for us to go to the quiet one and see if we could get more info by pretending to be part of the meanies. We head to that tower and talk with Jerry, the guard, and the more Korasche talked, the more Jerry saw right through it. He was going to be the ultimate meanie and report us. He climbed down the cliff, but as he was, I saw him fall. Not only did he fall, but he fell bad. Pretty sure he died.

The back entrance didn't work, so I calmly mentioned, "What if we just walk through the entrance?" Pip obtained a robe to cover his big ears, Korasche still looked like a cultist. I'm a Kobold. So that left Pátrin to be a pretend prisoner. Pátrin hands over his big greataxe for me to "hold" and the adventure was on. We walked by the front guard tower no problem! I whispered over to Korasche, "Why didn't we do this in the first place? This is so much easier!"

We made it to the inside of the campsite.

We stroll around with our "prisoner" and while we were making our way through camp, we found where they were keeping the other prisoners. They had this one very weak looking half-elf chained up next to some open stakes. We decide to park Pátrin next to him and pretended to tie him up. Our plan: leave Pátrin there, create a distraction after the sun sets, then Pátrin will do whatever Pátrin does and also rescue the chained up individual.

As nightfall was beginning to hit, and Pip and Korasche were heavily discussing how we were going to create the distraction. I didn't have much to say about it, and just took a moment to read my studies. I guess they decided to make a barrel or contraption thing and set it on fire. Whatever it was, it worked! We created the distraction then booked it. We were able to run and catch up with Pátrin and the other person.

We escaped! Where was Mordoc for all of this?
