Personal Diary of Zed

About Me
This is a little weird to write because this is my personal diary, but I guess if someone were to find it or stumble across it, they should probably know who I am.

Hi! I’m Zed. If there’s one thing you should know about me it is that my life-long dream is to grow up and be a DRAGON! It’s all I’ve ever wanted. You see, being a Kobold means you are pretty small and the world likes to pick on you. Even worse, I’m a pretty small Kobold, so everyone is picking on little Zed.

I like to label my diary entries, but they show up with the newest entry first. So if you want to avoid secrets and spoilers, you'll have to visit the end of the diary to get to the beginning. Tricky aren't I?!

Week 8 - Uh Oh

12/9/2021

After beating up the Trogdors, we continued on our exploration of this weird cave. I keep hearing someone whisper it's a dragon hatchery, which would be SO COOL!

Not 30 feet into the next part of the cave, Pátrin found a trap the old fashion way (with his foot). This alerted a bunch of fellow Kobolds and I've learned they are usually up to no good. I was right! We went to fight, and they unleashed a group of drakes on us. It was so cool to see them, but I was terrified on the inside. I thought if I could pet them furiously, they might go away. With the help of the party, we were able to take out the drakes. One of the Kobolds took a turn down a tunnel, and we followed.

We followed them, thanks to finding another big trap that almost killed Korasche, we were able to find the den where all the Kobolds were hiding. There must have been a dozen of them. Some even had wings. I hope I end up with wings one day. That would be so great! We had a pretty good fight, the party likes to beat up on Kobolds (even me "on accident").

I was feeling tired, still am tired, but we pressed on down a tunnel and on the other side was something terrifying. These two HUGE berserkers were chatting with this dragon folk. Korasche mentioned that is was Langdon Cyan-Wrap, or something like that. He had this deep and terrifying voice. I hopped on to Pátrin and we got to work on the Berserkers, but they seemed real strong. They just kept hitting our bear 'til he was a bear no more. He went back to Pátrin. Mordoc whispered some words and cursed Langdon, everyone kept shouting "Hit him Zed! Hit Him Zed"

I got so nervous, I tried to give Langdon a good punch and missed, but I tried and gain and POW! Hit him really hard. In his deep grunty voice, he exclaimed, "You have a lot of power for a little one." Then he unleashed a flurry of attacks with his great sword and I got knocked within an inch of my life.

Lying helplessly on the ground, I didn't know what to do. Still breathing and everything was an absolute blur. I hear some footsteps and I look over to see a familiar figure make their way over to me. It was
Pátrin. He reached out and grabbed my arm and said, "Get up and keep fighting little one." I felt a little life come back to me.

Running around this little part of the cave, I avoided one Berserker in hopes that I could knock out the other Berserker, but it seems like they won't go down. Mordoc keeps trying to attack Langdon, but he keeps missing. Korasche is down after Langdon sent big bolts of lightning his way. Pip has this weird spider thing that breathes fire (that's neat.) But has been taking a beating from the Berserker I've been avoiding.

All seems helpless...is this going to be the end?
