Personal Diary of Zed

About Me
This is a little weird to write because this is my personal diary, but I guess if someone were to find it or stumble across it, they should probably know who I am.

Hi! I’m Zed. If there’s one thing you should know about me it is that my life-long dream is to grow up and be a DRAGON! It’s all I’ve ever wanted. You see, being a Kobold means you are pretty small and the world likes to pick on you. Even worse, I’m a pretty small Kobold, so everyone is picking on little Zed.

I like to label my diary entries, but they show up with the newest entry first. So if you want to avoid secrets and spoilers, you'll have to visit the end of the diary to get to the beginning. Tricky aren't I?!

Week 5 - on the road (again)

11/11/2021

Our bear was acting a little more bear-like than usual and Pátrin ran off to find a pot of honey. He got so excited, he bucked me off his back. I got a little dusty, but it was whatever. I took a seat as Korasche and Mordoc tried to interrogate the Kobold we were able to capture. I say we, but I'm not too sure about capturing my own kind. Korasche got really into it and mentioned that he was going to hunt the Kobold for sport if he did not comply. Found out the Kobold's name was Stick and that we needed to press on with our journey if we were going to make it to the camp. They let Stick go and found me hiding behind the horse because if they were going to hunt Stick, what's stopping them from hunting ME?

As we proceeded south, we came across this Kenku playing the jaw harp. It was a cool noise. Found out its name was Twitch and his whole family was dead and he was set on getting revenge. As we travelled, I noticed a creepy face in the bushes. Just was I trying to alert my friends, it turned out it wasn't just any bush, but it was an ambush. We get into a battle, and I was kicking meanie butt. I was feeling good, I even jumped down off the cart and put myself between Korasche and the meanies for extra protection. It was great until Korasche HIT ME WITH A RAY OF FROST! The icy cold jet rocketed off the back of my head and almost killed me. I thought he said he didn't hunt Kobolds for sport.

We took care of the Cultists and apparently Acolytes (first time seeing those people) and we were left with one lieutenant. He was gnarly and I'm sure he could have handled us easily, but Korasche redeemed himself (I guess) and was able to charm him. I was so flustered and cold, that I took a short rest on the cart while he and Mordoc had a conversation with this Eugene character.

They got Eugene to tell us where the camp was and that we needed to tell the camp that they were fine, so they set off this big fire with blue smoke. They also tapped the kegs of beer to celebrate and Eugene got really drunk. Again, I was too cold to participate, but I gathered my strength back and am now ready to fight again (if I have to).

As we left Eugene in a drunken stupor, I guess Pátrin could smell the beer and mysteriously reappeared to join us for the rest of the journey to the camp.

We're on the outskirts, but we can see the camp.
