Personal Diary of Zed

About Me
This is a little weird to write because this is my personal diary, but I guess if someone were to find it or stumble across it, they should probably know who I am.

Hi! I’m Zed. If there’s one thing you should know about me it is that my life-long dream is to grow up and be a DRAGON! It’s all I’ve ever wanted. You see, being a Kobold means you are pretty small and the world likes to pick on you. Even worse, I’m a pretty small Kobold, so everyone is picking on little Zed.

I like to label my diary entries, but they show up with the newest entry first. So if you want to avoid secrets and spoilers, you'll have to visit the end of the diary to get to the beginning. Tricky aren't I?!

week 2 - finding my ground

10/7/2021

WOWOWOW! Almost too much happened. Our friends were unconscious and Battle Mom had to help drag our friends off to the keep and in doing so some random bullies scoop up the children. I’ll be honest, I was surprised I wasn’t scooped up at the same time. I hope they are okay….

We got to the keep, and immediately we noticed it was utter chaos. We were able to rest, and in doing so, I was able to learn a little more about being a monk and unlocked my Ki. Not sure what I’m going to be able to do, but yea, that happened.

We got rested and the guy in charge, gosh I’m so bad at names, needed us to save some villagers that were trapped in the chapel. I was so scared and wasn’t looking for it, but our party had other plans.

To get out, we had to travel down to the basement of the keep and escape through a secret tunnel. It was blocked by some crates and OH MY GOSH there were swarms of RATS once we moved the crates. It’s not everyday that the enemy is smaller than me, and it felt good to finally be the bigger Kobold. I took the opportunity and beat up a few rats. Kicking and punching them across the room was so cool! If only I had this kind of courage when facing someone bigger than me.

Once out, Pátrin had a really cool idea. Apparently he can shape himself into animals, like big, scary animals. He shaped into a Dire Wolf and for a second, I thought he was going to bite my head off, but he gave the nod like he wanted me to hop on and I’m not going to say no to a wolf, so I HOPPED ON AND RODE A WOLF!

We rode into battle and I punched some bullies while the WOLF ATE THE LEADER. We made quick work of the bullies and I swooped up to the chapel door and gave it a knock to let the villagers know that they were safe, but they didn’t answer me. Guess they thought I was a bad guy. Our cleric, Mordoc, had to step in and be the hero. Maybe one day I’ll be the hero.

We got the villagers from the chapel back to the keep. With much excitement, the leader looked at us and had a new mission. A NEW MISSION? How many of these are we gonna get? I just came here to see dragons and learn from them. These missions, like the dragons, are terrifying.

Anyways, the local mill was getting destroyed and we needed to race the army there to try and save it. We got there and scared off some bullies. Pátrin turned into a bear and ran into battle, but I knew exactly what I needed. I ran and caught up and jumped up to ride the bear and in doing so, swiftly kicked a bad guy. They got scared and ran away, and as we checked the mill, we could hear voices. Pátrin, still in bear form, kicked down the door and I went to check to see where the voices came from in the mill. I took a couple steps and as Pátrin followed me in, we heard the sound of spears being thrown at us from above.

WAS THIS A TRAP?!?!?!
