Personal Diary of Zed

About Me
This is a little weird to write because this is my personal diary, but I guess if someone were to find it or stumble across it, they should probably know who I am.

Hi! I’m Zed. If there’s one thing you should know about me it is that my life-long dream is to grow up and be a DRAGON! It’s all I’ve ever wanted. You see, being a Kobold means you are pretty small and the world likes to pick on you. Even worse, I’m a pretty small Kobold, so everyone is picking on little Zed.

I like to label my diary entries, but they show up with the newest entry first. So if you want to avoid secrets and spoilers, you'll have to visit the end of the diary to get to the beginning. Tricky aren't I?!

Week 17 - Waterdeep and beyond

3/17/2022

We finally made it to Waterdeep. Mordoc needed to do some shopping, was a few gold short of his goal, so I helped him out with the stash I have in my bag. I mean, what am I gonna do with this much gold? We notice that the cultists are making their way further north, so we didn't stay long. Our old caravan was headed back to Baldur's Gate, so we needed to find a new place to sneakily follow. Meet Erin Barfood. He is a rather intimidating man, but we manage to get hired, each making 5 Gold per 10day.

On the way north, not sure where, be drive pass by the Mayor of Dead Men, whoever that is. All of a sudden out of nowhere, we get jumped by some meanie bandits. There were a lot of them, but they were no match for me, I must have punched my way through all of them. I think Baalor was a little saddened by my epic performance because I kept taking all of his kills. I can't promise that I'll be good against the big baddies in our future, but I definitely think I have no problem showing a normie what's what. Oh my goodness, Mordoc healed another member of the party instead of himself!

We fought them off, I check on the egg. We hear some big booming voices like Baalor, but they weren't like Baalor. They were Ogres. They gave us a good spoke and we see the barrel kind of fall over. My heart sank. I take a look and there was a crack in the egg. I had been working so hard to take care of the little fella, that on one hand, I thought that it was some progress, but in my heart I knew...it was damaged. I got real upset and took after the Ogres and beat the snot out of them. I was really sad. Was our egg doomed? Patrin poured in a little cure wounds and I gave it a nice acid bath, and it seemed like the egg was safe.

I think in all of the commotion, I may have revealed a little too much to the shady person that has "joined" us for the time being, but the egg means everything to me.

We pulled off the road and head to a roadside inn, park our cart and head to our room. The last thing the innkeeper said was that we needed "To be quiet and clean and there won't be a scene." Mordoc had a weird look on his face, and as soon as we sit down in our room, he goes, "I need to kill that innkeeper." We all kinda start making some rumblings to each other, trying to figure why Mordoc feels that way, when the shady person goes, "Uh, guys, your barrel is moving."

We all pause, look to our barrel as it falls over on its own. The lid. Pops. Off.
